Jay

Jay received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his BA in Economics from Tufts University, where he also minored in Psychology and Photography. Jay is an experienced entrepreneur and consultant with a penchant for building new and innovative businesses. His operating experience includes founder and senior management roles at tech startups (Emo Labs, Iconomy, InfoPlus, Spinnaker Software) as well new product and market development positions at Pacific Bell, Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. Jay currently serves as Co-founder and COO of Twyxter, a firm that provides social communities and employee engagement solutions for large and medium-sized corporations. He is also the founder and Managing Director of Astrolabe Partners, a consultancy dedicated to assisting entrepreneurial and corporate ventures in the commercialization of new products and technologies. His experience in high technology spans internet services, ecommerce, consumer software, enterprise software, CRM, and information services. Over the past 10 years, Jay has also been active as an advisor and mentor to startups through the Kindle Mentor Program at BU, MassChallenge, the CleanTech Open, Boston World Partnerships and the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. Jay has worked with >100 applicants through the years helping them navigate to the top institutions around the world.
